Professional Directorship

Warren is one of only 300 Chartered Fellows of the Institute of Directors, acknowledged as having the seniority, experience, competency and ethics to provide good seasoned governance.  He is also a Chartered Accountant of long standing. Warren takes his governance roles and responsibilities seriously, maintains his Continuing Professional Education, and is well versed in the Four Pillars and Code of Ethics of the IoD. He enjoys and takes a keen interest in keeping up to date with latest governance thinking.

Warren has been nominated by both Institutes (Directors and Accountants) as a professional independent chairman to lead a board out of dysfunction. He currently chairs four private companies whose CEOs are dynamic, talented, competent achievers.

Strategy Advice

Warren is an experienced facilitator of strategy development. He works with boards and management in:

  • facilitating your strategic development thinking

  • analysing your strategic and competitive position

  • mentoring your change and improvement projects

  • advising on acquisition and expansion projects

He also brings his M&A investment banking expertise to bear in

  • acquisitions and their funding

  • supporting owners (or part-owners) on their exit strategies.

Having studied Strategy, Corporate Finance, Organizational Behaviour and Entrepreneurship at post graduate level, he keeps current in these fields.

Dispute Resolution

From time to time, Warren works for one shareholding party to resolve an ownership or control dispute, or an owner relationship breakdown. While he is not a qualified mediator, he is generally brought in on the advice of a lawyer, since he brings a people-oriented and respectful pragmatism to the issue.
